Twisty Pods/Fusilli Pods

Twisty pods, also called fusilli pods, are the twisted or spiral woody capsule of the Helicteres isora plant found across tropical Asia. These spiral pods are a great addition to natural bioactive enclosures and blackwater and biotope aquascapes on the botanical method.  Their unique shape also makes them popular for art and craft projects and home decor.

Uses

• Botanical Home Decor: Perfect as bowl fillers or integrated into natural arrangements, terrariums, and potpourri.
• Craft & Art Projects: Their unique spiral shape inspires creative possibilities in wreaths, mixed media art, and jewelry.

Aquarium Preparation

1. Boil: Boil for at least 15 minutes to help them sink and leach initial tannins.
2. Soak: Soak in clean water overnight or longer, changing water daily, until fully waterlogged and desired tannin level is reached.
3. Ready to Use: Once they sink and you've achieved your desired water coloration, add to your tank.

Please Note: As a natural product, each pod will vary in size, shape, and color. Intended for decorative, craft, and aquarium/vivarium use only. Not for human consumption.
